This Friday, October 2nd, the final decision on which international city will host the 2016 Olympic Games will be made. Chicago's bid for the 2016 Olympic Games consists of 3 components:

• A vision that reaches out to the world in friendship through sport. The vision of Chicago 2016 is to celebrate the Olympic Movement's power to unite all humanity.
• A concept that will deliver a spectacular Games experience for all participants in our stunning lakefront parklands. The majority of the venues in Chicago's games will be conducted in the heart of the city, within its historic parks.
• Through sport and competition, young people can learn valuable lessons and develop skills that will serve them well throughout their lives.
