There are still spaces left in Exxcel’s exciting December vacation camp which runs Dec. 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 26th, 29th, 30th, 31st and Jan. 2nd.
Half (9AM-12PM) or Full Day (9AM-3PM) and Extended Day (8-9AM and 3-5PM) options are available for ages 3+. A signed waiver is needed for each child (download on the Exxcel Home Page). A new session and a new month means....
A new Skill of the Month!
Gymnasts hold and move through this position in many gymnastic skills, from beginner to advanced, on all apparatus. It requires the gymnast to engage all her muscles, most importantly the muscles in the core of the body.
To achieve a Hollow Body position, a gymnast can concentrate on curving the stomach and chest inward until the back is flat on the ground. However, Hollow Body position doesn’t have to be performed lying down. It can be done in the air and on the hands as well.
